Treatment of PPP is best done by surgical removal of each papule by CO2 Laser surgery.

Ablative Co2 Laser For PPP Removal

The Co2 Laser has the unique ability to hit specific areas without causing damage to the surrounding tissues. Before the treatment a numbing cream is applied to the affected area. It’s an ablative laser which works by converting light energy into heat energy thereby damaging the underlying tissue. It is very precise and targets the specific area.

Treatment require 30-45 minutes. Most patients do not require any kind of anesthesia after the papules removal. Complete recovery time is usually 8-15 days. Many patients worry about the level of pain and discomfort which is absolutely minimal. The surgical intervention takes place under local anesthesia and you will be able to resume your daily activies immediately after the procedure except refraining  from sex for 7-10 days.
