There are 3 broad types of penile implants available in India. Each is different on the basis of construct, use and cost. Penile implants come in various types, with the three main categories being inflatable implants, malleable implants, and self-contained hydraulic implants. Inflatable implants allow for manual inflation to achieve an erection, while malleable implants maintain a semi-rigid state.
Self-contained hydraulic implants combine features of both, providing a more natural erection by activating a pump mechanism. Currently three malleable implants are popular in India.
